WW II U.S. Army Buckle Boots

These are service shoes with upper part added and made of brown leather and lined with canvas material, the lower shoe is made of smooth russet brown leather with toe cap. They are marked 9-1/2 and dated 1942, the buckle tops are also marked size 9-1/2. The owner has stamped his name and service number in several places on each boot. The leather tongue in one of the boots has small tear in the leather but not noticeable. The hard rubber sole and heel are also marked with size. Would guess the upper buckle section was added in about 1943. Overall they show only a little wartime wear, they have gotten a little stiff but leather is still very nice, think some leather care on the inside would help, also could use light cleaning.
