U.S. Leather and Brass Hanger

Looks like it is for Officers Sam Brown Belt or Enlisted Man’s Garrison leather belt. Two russet brown leather straps with brass hook, one strap is about 37 inches long, other is about 9 inches both have loop at end with brass button. Think it might be some type of sword hanger. Looks unused but shows some age. Exc. + $40.00
