Luftwaffe Hauptmann of Flight Troops Leather Flight Jacket

Private purchase non-regulation type made of leather with black finish. Jacket has heavy zipper on front with one slanted zippered breast pocket with two lower slanted slash open pockets with lower adjusting strap with metal snaps, all are marked with maker, see “Multi-view” Photos. Shoulder boards are sewn in type with bright silver aluminum braid with two gold rank pips on each with golden yellow underlay. Breast eagle is standard issue quality, machine woven in light grey on blue grey wool, eagle is machine sewn to the jacket. The inside is lined with a heavy dark blue cotton type material with one inside breast pocket. The pockets, outside and inside are lined with colored plaid wool. Overall show wear and age, black finish on leather is worn but still nice looking, leather is still nice and only just a little stiff from age. Dark blue lining is lose in one spot, could be sewn back up with no problem. Overall very nice looking wartime private purchase flight jacket. Exc. + $1750.00
