M18 Double Decal Police Helmet

Helmet has dark smooth grey green finish, has been repainted during wartime and has two sets of decal. The first set the police decal was the type without border, second type has border, you can see the first type through the thin coat of paint, the Police decal shows age but is about 85 to 90%, the Party decal is also about the same, worn and about 80% with first decal showing through the paint. The smooth grey green finish is a little spotty from stains. The inside does not look as it was repainted but finish is dark, the leather liner is in poor condition, with steel helmet band. Shell is marked “SI66” lot number is in the top of the helmet and cannot make it out. Overall very rare helmet other than the leather liner outside shows wartime field wear with age spotting.
