Reichsbahn Officials Visor Hat for Pay Grades 11 thru 7a

Hat has dark blue wool top with red piping around top edge. The band is made of black velvet and piped in red, the insignia on the band is a large winged railway wheel with gold finish, this is worn in some spots with about 85% of the gold finish remains, the eagle is made of stamped metal with gold finish. Chinstrap is made of dark blue twisted cord, two dark blue and two gold for Pay Grades 11 thru 7a, the visor is black and made of the standard fiber material. The inside is lined with the orange brown oil cloth material, has plastic sweat diamond with maker in gold print, marked size 55- ½ plus marked to Reichsbahn-Kleiderkasse. The sweat band is the heavy paper material type with light brown color, this shows wear and is torn in several places, still it looks 80% plus, but worn around the front around the visor. Overall hat has nice shape and show some light wear and age but has nice look, there are some moth nips to the piping under the back fold, not noticeable, the sweat band has the most problems but still looks OK Exc. $625.00
