German WW II M31 Canteen
Canteen has grey wool felt cover with black leather straps. Canteen is the late war type made of steel with dark reddish painted finish, marked with maker “SMM” with 43 date, the cover and the leather strap is also maker marked with 43 date, the cap is the black bakelite type. The cup is also the steel type with reddish color painted finish on the inside with light grey green on the outside, marked but cannot make it out. Overall shows age and wartime field wear, looks in sound condition, but with all items like this the leather can be fragile, will display very nice.
