World War II U.S. Army White Summer Visor Hat

They discontinued wearing these very early in WW II. Hat has white removable cotton lined top with gold braided chinstrap with black hard visor. The gold metal hat eagle is from the 30's and worn into WWII, it has very fine gold finish with very nice detail. The inside has nice brown leather sweat band and is marked size 7-1/8, hat also has tight woven wood wicker frame. Overall these hats are hard to find, this one shows some light age and wear, the black visor is nice but does show some age, the white removable top could use a light cleaning, this is easy to do, it is removable.
