German WW I M.1895 Prussian Infantry Spiked Helmet
Leather helmet with black lacquered finish with brass fittings. Front plate is very bright and has not been cleaned it is very nice, spike is also bright, the front trim around the visor has turned a little dark. Has the original black leather chinstrap with brass fittings, they have turned a little dark from age also has the original cockades. Inside is also nice, the black leather liner shows some light wear with some age, but still sound, has owners name on inside of front visor and has maker ink stamp in top, not real clear but there, may not show up in photo. Helmet is a small size marked size 53 in pencil. Overall very fine condition for 97 years with light age and wear to the black lacquered finish, the wartime field wear is only light.
